Happy Birthday Dad

Picture was taken on Christmas Eve, dad is modeling his new Maui Jim's sunglases!

Mom and Dad are currently in Australia visiting my brother Jacek.  They have not seen him for 9 years, so they are very happy and blessed to be there with him.  Today is my Dad's 68th birthday, I hope he is enjoying himself somewhere on the beach with a cold drink  or eating a kangaroo steak!

Mom and Dad both wearing their Maui Jim's.

Happy New Year

The holidays came and went, my parents got to Australia safe and sound (they are having a wonderful time with my brother, btw) and now we are in 2010 wondering what this year will bring us.
I'm really trying to be optimistic about this whole IVF thing... I received my meds on 12/30/09, here is a little glimps of it:

Looks wonderful, doesn't it?
I started my stims last night. A combination of a lupron, menopur, follistim injected in my stomach burned like a motherF.....r! I guess I should have listen to the girls on the Infertility board about icing the injection site before hand but I will tonight.  It took me about 1/2 hour to mix all the meds together, I was partially nervous and excited for my 1st stim.  Besides burning for about an hour I did not experience any other side effects (yet).  And the consolation price was really nice, my lovely hubby took me out to dinner at Bistro Wasabi - which is always much appreciated!
