19 months old

Our beautiful daughters just turned 19 months old. I can't believe how fast they are growing up. They are very smart and outgoing, Natalia is a bit more shy then Emilia. They are still in # 5 diapers, 18-24 months clothing ( depending on the mfg), they are about 25 lbs each and measuring 34 inches(Natalia) and 32(Emi) inches tall. They both many, many words in both languages ( English and Polish) and understand both as well.
The newest thing to do is- self feeding soup with a spoon. I snapped a couple of pictures with the iPhone:

I love every minute of it, including the moments of tamper tantrums, crying, whining, hitting, screaming or hanging on my hip for what's it feels like all day- I'm still incredibly blessed to be their mom.

Easter 2012 - part 2

shaped marshmallows. Here is a little preview:

On Easter Sunday they woke up early and we got downstairs to get their sippy cups with milk, as they discovered that there were Easter baskets waiting for them.  It only took them a minute to figure out that plastics eggs are filled with all kinds of goodness.  So their breakfast consisted of gold fish, cheese puffs and yogurt melts :)

Later that morning we got ready and went my family house.  We had a traditional Polish Easter food, including and not limited to: bialy barszczyk z kielbasa, swieconke, jaja faszerowane, biala kielaska z papryka i cebula, sernik i mazurek. I know this means nothing to most but the meaning of this is lost when it's translated to English.  All was yummy and I tried it all.

So happy I could spend another holidays with my family: my husband, my children, my parents and my sister, my nieces.

Easter 2012 part 1

We decided this year just like every year to spend Easter with my family. My in laws are still in Florida, enjoying their time away.
I was off work on Good Friday so I was able to spend a day with the girls. Besides the weather being crappy, we had lots of fun. We still managed to go outside even if that meant wearing winter coats and hats:

On Saturday was much warmer, we spend some time at home until nap time (I was baking) and then headed outside.
The girls LOVE being outside.

Needles to say- the little ladies are quite the soccer players at their ripe age of 18 months.

: a few updates:

We lost our beloved Daisy on January 6, 2012.  She was hit by a car almost directly behind our back yard and killed instantly.  Words can't even express the sadness and devastation we went through. RIP our friend :) we'll see you again someday.
Our household were not the same without a canine companion.  We all missed Daisy terribly, even the girls, every time they entered her room - they called her name.  We could not stop crying.
On February 5 we adapted Foxy - the white boxer.
She is 3 1/2 years old and recently lost her owner.  She is still very sad, you can tell by the look in her eyes.  She is a great dog, very well behaved and obidient .  She loves the girls and they love her back.  We have changed her name to Roxy - it is a better fit for out family.
Also in January I began my weight loss journey.  It's the Dukan Diet plan.  It's basics are high protein and low fat type of deal.  I have lost 17.5 lbs as of Jan 9, and I'm very proud of it.

Valentine's Day

I admit it. My blogging abilities sucks. Every time I take a long break I feel horrible about it. There are so many changes around and I should be better about documenting it all.
Below picture is from our little photo shoot for v-day. The girls are so cute! I love them to death!
